ROTTING CORPSE Named Artist Of The Month

October 8, 2005

Reunited '80s thrash band ROTTING CORPSE, whose original lineup included current SOLITUDE AETURNUS mainman John Perez and former DEATH touring guitarist/roadie Walter Trachsler, have been named Artist of the Month for October 2005 by Stream of Consciousness.

The Artist of the Month package features an interview with bassist Steve Murphy, a review of the recent ROTTING CORPSE show from September 24, 2005 at the Phoenix Music Complex in Arlington, Texas as well as photos taken the same night.

The interview has Murphy giving insight on what events preceded the initial ROTTING CORPSE practice in July 2004 that led to the reunion, if the reunion could work or happen and how Murphy looks at ROTTING CORPSE as a business and not just a band.

Later in the month, ROTTING CORPSE will be sharing four Texas dates with the recently reformed Texas based RIGOR MORTIS with one of those shows consisting of RIGOR MORTIS, ROTTING CORPSE and GAMMACIDE which features Rick Perry from the industrial metal act PUNCTURE.

ROTTING CORPSE dates for October:

Oct. 21 - Austin, TX @ The Back Room (w/ RIGOR MORTIS)
Oct. 22 - Corpus Christi, TX @ Equal Eyez (Texas Helloween Metal Fest II)
Oct. 28 - Houston, TX @ Fitzgeralds (w/ ETERNITY BLACK)
Oct. 29 - Fort Worth, TX @ Axis (w/ RIGOR MORTIS, GAMMACIDE)
